Notices > Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum & Commmunity Centre looking for help with History based Day Camp

The Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum & Community Centre is looking for a blacksmith to help with a history based Day Camp for kids 8-12 that will take place during the week of July 8 – 12, 2013.They are looking for an interactive discussion/demonstration, followed by a hands-on activity. The schedule could look something like this: Expert speaks and demonstrates their skills followed by a related activity either planned by yourself or museum staff. All costs incurred by the activities will be covered by the museum. Museum staff and volunteers will be here to assist during the demonstration and activity. They will be looking after the participants, and the presenter (you!) will be there for your knowledge and expertise. The time of day can be flexible based on your schedule. The program could run approximately 2 hours (including your demonstration & activity), but could go longer if you like. The museum may be able to offer an honorarium for your program (to be determined by the program budget) and as previously mentioned, all program costs will be covered by the Museum.
