Notices > SOLD OUT - Sign up Peter Ross demonstration on May 2-3

Peter Ross will be coming to Upper Canada Village to demonstrate on May 2nd and 3rd. There will be accommodations on-site for a very reasonable fee, although you are of course welcome to stay elsewhere. The event itself will cost $100 per person to watch the two-day demonstration. Due to the physical limitations of the shop, there will only be room for 20-25 people, so sign up early. If you would like to sign up, please contact David Brandow or Lloyd Johnston.

Peter Ross bio:
"Peter Ross took his first blacksmith lesson at Stonybrook Museums, in 1970. After attending the Rhode Island School of Design he worked his way through various shops working as a blacksmith until he moved to be the Master blacksmith at Colonial Williamsburg. Peter worked to promote the study of blacksmithing through historically accurate processes. He remained at the museum from 1979 to 2004. Peter has now begun pursuing his own ventures of producing historic hardware reproductions in his own studio. Peter has demonstrated nationally at several ABANA conferences as well as most of the countries craft schools."
