OABA - Gallery of Members Work
John Bott
Iron Frog - was the first of a series of frogs and other animals presented in outline. This particular
one was twelve inches high and about ten inches long. He is made of half inch by three sixteenths
steel and is also shown on the web site for the Niagara Artist Company at www.nac.org This
particular piece has been sold and now resides in Cleveland Ohio. Several other bigger frogs,
approximately two feet long and one and a half feet high now live in the Toronto area. They were
made from one and a quarter inch wide by three sixteenths material. The big guys are called Cal
in honour of the Calivaris County Bull frog since these guys would be able to out jump any other
frog.
